Stewardship

Managing the Gifts God Gives

About

Stewardship

According to the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, Christian stewardship is the free and joyous activity of God’s family — the church — in managing life’s resources for His purposes. It’s basically how God wants us to live our lives in a biblical way.

The word stewardship is often associated with monetary gifts, but it means more than that to those within the church. As the free and joyous activity of the baptized, stewardship involves managing the gifts God gives us: time, talents and treasure.

There are many ways for members to serve here at Good Shepherd:

  • Music Ministry (Choirs, Bells, Instruments)
  • Ministry Teams
  • Congregational Leadership
  • Volunteerism
  • Special Activities and Events

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace

1 Peter 4:10
